OUR LOVE FOR TRUE CHIANTI

We’re delighted that Claire Czotter, who represents some of the most sought-after Italian producers, is joining us for the first time. Under the lights at our outdoor tasting table, she’ll introduce a Chianti Classico from San Giusto, an estate that traces its roots all the way back to Medieval Tuscany.

The reason for this sneak preview is to prepare your palate for the new vintage release arriving at the shop in November. We’ll be offering pre-arrival pricing at the tasting!

SAN GIUSTO – CHIANTI CLASSICO
Located in the Monti district of Gaiole in the far south of the Chianti Classico wine zone, the estate of San Giusto a Rentennano has a history dating back to the 11th century. Eventually passing into the hands of the Martini di Cagala family in the early 20th century, the modern incarnation of San Giusto began production in the 1970s. Today, the winery is operated by siblings Anna, Lucia, Elisabetta, Francesco, Alessandro, and Luca Martini di Cagala.

And boy are they doing justice to the history of this estate! This Chianti Classico is a textbook expression of the appellation. I first shared this wine via a social media post and it immediately captured the attention both of true Chianti fans but also a good percentage of people in the wine industry who were pretty much drooling over it! So it won’t last on my shelves, I can certainly tell you that.

What to expect: Can a wine have bright acid and be graceful at the same time? Not often, but this Chianti manages to pull it off. Dark-blue fruit, tobacco, mid-body, crazy elegant finish. Some chalk and spectacular tannins. It needs some time in a decanter or a simple overnight in the bottle. This wine is gift to us from Chianti-land!

Our club includes food pairings with the season in mind. Every month we share food pairings with each of the club wines. Also, one of the pairings comes with full and detailed ingredients and preparation.

When do you pick up the club? You can call us or e-mail us to check. The club is ready after the first Thursday or Friday of each month in the afternoon, depending on trucking logistics from my distributors. However we shoot for Thursdays.

DELIVERY AVAILABLE! For an additional $25 we'll deliver all three months of the club to you in the Andover or North Andover area. Must be paid at the start of your membership
